Bio

I want to touch people with my art. I want them to say 'he feels deeply, he feels tenderly.' - Vincent van Gogh
As a young child, photography wasn't high on my list of interests simply because film was expensive and to waste it was folly. However, if presented the chance, I would always take family photos - as I would rather have been the photographer than the subject.

With the arrival of the digital camera, came more of an interest in photography because of the new format of storage. However, it was not until we adopted a cat that photography really began to take flight. I have to say, I kind of owe my ever-growing interest in photography to him. My growth as a photographer still amazes me to this day. I still remember and smile when I think about all the milestones I've reached from the first click of the shutter to the latest click of the shutter. I, however, still have much to learn as I continue to capture the world around me in 8x10 inch prints.

As of today, I continue taking photos of whatever happens to strike my fancy. You could say that everything inspires me, because it is more or less true. I believe that photography is much more than just a pretty picture - photography serves to capture a moment, an experience, an emotion that would otherwise be a passing memory, flitting across the surface of the mind from time to time.
Writing is no stranger to me, it's something I have been doing since I could form letters, make words, and then string them into sentences.

When I write, I try to entrance and embrace with words. When creating scenes, I try to make them as realistic as possible to envelope the reader into the world I have made. Whatever the characters are feeling, I try to draw out the same emotion from the audience so they can forget that they are reading and feel as if they were living in a totally different experience. And when the words come to an end, I want them to be speechless and feel as though they have been snatched out of a dream as opposed to feeling like they have just finished a book.

Currently, I'm working on an undisclosed project. In my LJ, you will find drabbles and short poems and scenes that just come down on me very suddenly and force me to write them. I find that a common themes in my writing include (but are not limited to): desperation, trickery, hope and free will. Once in a while, I will include a few non-fiction things and reviews on books and movies.
I'm kind of new to graphics, so there's not much to say here.

Other Things to Look For:
I will ocassionally make fashion-related posts if the mood strikes me. You can also look forward to discussions on interesting topics such as Global Warming and the actions of PETA. I try to post as many images as possible in posts because I know people like to look at pictures. Once in a while, I'll do features of artists, books, music and other things I find interesting and want to share. ♥
